Pulling together in times of need and getting creative with interactions amidst the pandemic.
2020 has been a year of extraordinary circumstances. The world has adapted to a “new norm” and continues to push through; however, everyday struggles remain.
In August and October, two devastating hurricanes hit Louisiana. In partnership with Union Pacific, Sierra Pacific Warehouse Group, and the United Way Foundation, Morning Star donated an entire railcar full of tomato products.
With most students now learning remotely, local school districts near Morning Star’s two southern factories find ways to continue feeding their students in need by offering pre-made meals for pick-up. Morning Star was more than happy to donate four pallets of tomato products to be used in these meals.
We are now in an era of virtual everything, so why not a virtual charity run? Last month a group of Morning Star colleagues gathered to run around one factory’s cooling pond to show their support. We miss seeing our customers in person, but our dedication will continue.
