Hans Younce glides into retirement after 31 years of working with Morning Star.
Hans started his career with Morning Star back in 1990, when the first Morning Star factory was preparing to break ground. What started with a 5-hour interview turned into a lifelong career filled with trials, tribulations, a little mischief, great success, joy, laughter and long-lasting friendships that can be better classified as family.
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Hans, you will know when I say he is not one to be forgotten. His personality could fill a stadium, and his ability to talk…well, we’ll let Hans explain that one for himself.
Hans started his career at Morning Star, working on the factory’s boilers. In his own words, “this was my forte.” Eventually, a position opened up working on the evaporators, and some colleagues asked Hans to help out. Very quickly, Hans found his new passion
Hans will be retiring this spring but make no mistake; he has plans for the future. Hans and his wife Sue will start their travel adventures around the US towards the end of spring and will be spending much more time with their two daughters and one year old grandson.
Hans has been a staple around Morning Star for over 30 years, and all will feel his retirement. He will continue attending Morning Star charity and outreach events within the local community. However, knowing Hans, he will most definitely be stopping by the factory to visit from time to time. Visits we look forward to and will cherish.
