Meet Megan Greer-Hansen: Colleague of The Morning Star Company since 2017
One of the things that makes The Morning Star Company special is the people behind the work, and few colleagues reflect that spirit quite like Megan Greer-Hansen from Customer Service.
Since joining Morning Star in 2017, Megan has become known for her caring personality, creativity, and dedication to both customers and colleagues. Those who work closely with her describe her as welcoming, thoughtful, solution-oriented, and someone who genuinely goes out of her way to help others. Whether she’s adapting to a customer’s changing requirements, advocating for customer needs across the supply chain, or surprising coworkers with homemade lunches and handcrafted gifts, Megan brings a personal touch to everything she does.
Megan says she was originally drawn to Morning Star because of the company’s unique culture. Before joining the team, she worked a wide variety of jobs beginning at just 13 years old. Over the years, she gained experience everywhere from a toy store she practically ran herself as a teenager to a golf resort in New Mexico known for hosting celebrities. She later spent nearly a decade working at The UPS Store in Los Banos before making the move to Morning Star.
When asked to describe Morning Star, Megan uses the words “driven, challenging, and unique.” She says one of the most rewarding parts of her role is building strong customer relationships through friendly, accurate, and timely service. Her personal mission centers around strengthening trust with customers and finding solutions that help support their needs. She also appreciates the collaborative environment at Morning Star and the opportunity to work alongside many different personalities and perspectives across the business.
Family remains at the center of Megan’s life outside of work. She and her husband Mike share a love for camping, which began on one of their very first dates and eventually became the setting for Mike’s proposal. Now, they continue the tradition every year with their daughter Aubrey. Megan describes her husband and daughter as her world, and many of their favorite memories are built around simply slowing down, spending time outdoors, and being together as a family.
Megan also credits much of who she is today to the example set by her family growing up. She describes her father as one of the strongest people she’s ever known – someone who could fix anything and always gave his all, even in difficult situations. Her mother’s kindness and willingness to help others also left a lasting impression, while her older sister’s determination helped shape Megan’s own work ethic and outlook on life. Today, she hopes to pass many of those same qualities on to Aubrey.
Creativity plays a huge role in Megan’s life as well. She loves painting, sewing, puzzles, and crafting – especially when Aubrey joins in, even if it means a little extra mess and a lot of mixed paint colors. Cooking has also become one of her passions. Megan jokingly refers to it as “experimental cooking,” but her colleagues would probably just call it delicious. Around the office, she’s already well known for her vegetable and tortellini soups, while her family regularly requests her homemade pasta sauce and chili chicken enchiladas.

Looking ahead, Megan hopes to continue growing professionally while creating even more memories with her family through travel and adventure. Alaska, Ireland, and the East Coast are all high on her list, along with a few exciting bucket-list experiences like ziplining and skydiving.
Whether she’s supporting customers, encouraging coworkers, creating something by hand, or making memories with her family, Megan brings warmth, creativity, and heart into everything she does.
